This holiday season, Walmart will light up the sky with a drone light show in the United States.

In an attempt to help families better end this difficult year, Walmart is giving away its “Drone Christmas Light Show.” An experience that brings the joy and wonder of the Christmas season to skies across the United States. The “Walmart Christmas Drone Light Show” is a free, contact less experience that recreates Christmas songs.

That’s possible thanks to almost 1,000 Intel Drones launched into the night sky, the light show creates seasonal three-dimensional figures and characters, such as snowflakes, reindeer, snowman, and holiday gifts, choreographed to a soundtrack of the best Christmas carols. Intel is using its latest drone light show technology to brighten this holiday season for families across the country. Each Intel drone serves as a pixel of light that paints the night sky with dynamic 3D animations to create a vivid and truly unforgettable story.

“From our summer movie drive-in to our fall game day to our Halloween experiences, we’ve been finding ways to help families enjoy seasonal traditions in a year they thought wouldn’t be possible,” said William White, Walmart’s chief marketing officer.

Families can visit www.WalmartDroneShow.com beginning Monday, November 23 at 5:00 p.m. ET to reserve free tickets to view the show from the safety of their own car or in a designated viewing area. When confirmed, families will receive an email with a QR code, which will allow them to enter their vehicle on the day of the event.

Eight communities will be able to experience the live light show as it passes through their city. The event promises a fun and safe family night with pre-show entertainment, including music from local DJs and a short holiday special, “DreamWorks Trolls Holiday,” before the drones take off. From December 4-20, the “Walmart Christmas Drone Light Show” will visit:

• Sunday, Dec. 13: Phoenix, Arizona at Phoenix Raceway
• Wednesday, Dec. 16: Charlotte, North Carolina at Carowinds
• Friday, Dec. 18: Sacramento, California at Sleep Train Arena
• Sunday, Dec. 20: Fayetteville, Arkansas at 112 Drive-In

The “Walmart Christmas Drone Light Show” isn’t just limited to these communities. A live stream of the light show will be tuned in to Walmart’s Facebook, Instagram and TikTok channels on Saturday, December 5 at 7:40 p.m. ET.
