A productive UAV test session starts before the aircraft is mounted. Teams should define the test objective, prepare the vehicle, and make sure every operator understands the expected procedure.
Before powering the system
Inspect propellers, fasteners, wiring, battery condition, firmware versions, and failsafe settings. Confirm that logs can be captured and that the test sequence is written down.
During the session
Change one variable at a time whenever possible. Keep notes on configuration, observed behavior, and follow-up actions. Repeatable records make later engineering decisions easier to defend.
